R-410A is widely used in air conditioning systems.
The mixture of R-32 and R-125 is almost azeotropic, meaning it has a very low temperature slip and almost no fractionation. This mixture has about 60% higher pressure than R-22, so it is not suitable for retrofit in systems running on R-22. R-410A should only be used in new equipment specifically designed for this freon. Systems designed for the R-410A will have smaller component dimensions (heat exchangers, compressor, etc.) to perform the same cooling job compared to the R-22.
It can be used in systems with flooded heat exchangers.
